When I did the first service on owning my car the fuel filter hadn't been changed for around 6 years when looking at the manufactured date. The thing was filled with water. I think people worry about the problem of starting the car when you disconnect it but what my dad does is use a hand primer to suck some diesel into the filter. Did a steady 75mph too so was very impressed with the MPG as usually I鈥檇 have to fill up somewhere on the way back.
