Tdci-Peter
1 hour ago, Turvey said: I do like managing to put together an IKEA wardrobe correctly, I hope you did not resort to reading the instructions!! I was assembling a gate, a complicated bridleway thing with a big hockey stick latch, and my co-assembler noticed bits of paper in the packets of bits. I pointed out that, as males, we did not need instructions, and he promptly left them on the ground! In fact, we could have done with some instructions for the final assembly of the hockey stick thing, but that part of the assembly had no paper in it at all, so we were left to guess. Needless to say it did not work when built: The self rising hinges clashed with the latch mechanism, but a bit of dowell bashed into the incorrect bolt hole, and some new holes drilled did get it working nicely. Instructions, ha. They are usually in incomprehensible gibberish translated from Chinese via German to English, anyway! 2

It does amuse me how the rules are applied for personal devices.聽 We can't use them out on deck during cargo operations, but if we step back a couple paces, off the main deck area, we're suddenly no longer in the flammable envelope and can use our phones...

Zico
@Eric Bloodaxe I had one lucky streak back in primary school where I won about 4 things on a raffle with 5 tickets. I don't recall having much luck in competitions since. My father once won the second prize in a Pepsi scratch card competition for a 1 week trip to a theme park in Spain for a family of 4. The only thing was that the competition wasn't open to the restaurants owner's and family's etc. and he had to give it to a friend to claim.
