I do like Getting a lift to work while my focus is in the garage for repair

Sounds like a cordless Dyson Vacuum behind my head when the turbo spools up

@iantt and @TomsFocus happy birthday to you two. Might send a 🌹to your houses to celebrate this day 😂.

Both of you have to stay in the 20s mood for this festive day

@Lenny nice that your friend picked you up. Sometimes I wonder if I should just stay living at home and save all my income for a car like that or just try my luck with the possible future wife if she can pay the monthly mortgage for our house 😂. I do hope I can afford a nice car like that but honestly the big thing is what job I'll get.

@Lenny I'm sure you treated her to something nice today 👍.

Exactly agree with your last statement. Remember my dad's friend. Lives in a one bed flat with the mortgage paid off. Think I heard he got money when he got divorced which paid the mortgage off. Earns around the same as my dad but bought a £40k audi RS4 then moved to a Mercedes SLK55 AMG then a Peugeot RCZR.

I funnily found some viagra tablets in my dad's cupboard. I showed my mum whilst laughing and she said dad gives them to that friend of his and doesn't take it. She then joked saying he's friend must have some young girlfriends which probably is why he asks for it 😂. I think dad gets given those tablets along with the diabetic medication he gets from the gp.

@Lenny

Thanks Zain!

I had a bit of a midlife crisis today and asked a barber to do something interesting with my hair...I was thinking some kind of high fade with a thick floppy top like the youngsters have...  Poor barber was looking for a polite way to tell me there's not enough left to do anything with!!

Also put myself down as 'attending' a local car meet tomorrow night...if I do get there I'll be the only one in slippers with a Zimmer frame moaning about all the noise!!

On a serious note though...I do massively regret missing out on so many things through my teens and early 20s due to health (or lack of it!).  'Never too old' is a daft saying, it's simply not true for loads of things!  With hindsight, I'd always tell youngsters to take any opportunities and push for things they want to do.

I can attest to that!  Some things looking back I'm glad I missed, but others would have been good to experience and who knows where I'd be now if I had been able to take those opportunities.  Anyway this is the "do like" thread so I'll leave it there before I get too depressed!!

That is a great song.  I bought his 1978 LP "Endless Wire" recently and have listened to it a few times, it really does get better with each listening which is the sign of good music.

Nope, I had to call in to my parents on way home so that hour disappeared.

Realised my 2 kids are no longer kids anymore. My youngest announced he was going on holiday to Spain with his mates. He now has an engineering apprenticeship. All going well for him.

Both are getting there independence now, and only rely on me to look after there cars.

Could be worse, he could be 10 years older and absolutely useless, stuck living off the state and unable to do much other than post rubbish on car forums all day...

Lol I haven't ever gone abroad without family. Can't even think it. Something I hope I don't have to do when I start working as it might effect family time

Was looking on Facebook and came across this news about this kebab shop inside a bus. Found out its opposite the A&E department of my hospital 😂

https://secretldn.com/last-stop-kebab-double-decker-bus/

So went hospital today and can see it from the staff room 🤣

Our middle boy is off to Spain with his mates as well this year! 😲

And one of our 16 year old twins is going to TRNSMT in Glasgow with pals later on this year as well.

Where does the time go?
