Turbo Charging 2002-2008 Fiesta

Featured Replies

is it possible to turbo a 1.4 fiesta or even isit worth it as ive seen someone thinking about doing it on a modding forum

It's possible.....as for being 'worth it' that would be down to the individual, but I wouldn't bother.

It's possible to turbo any normally aspirated car but the cost far out weighs the worth. It's also a very big job and I personally wouldn't bother but if you have the cash and the time it's down to you.

You could easily end up spending more than the car is worth if you were to do it properly - especially if you were paying somewhere to do it, plus if there's not an aftermarket kit already available you're looking at having to get lots of the parts custom made as 1-offs which gets expensive very quickly.

In the event there is a kit available don't expect that to be a simple bolt-on job either, regardless of any promises the marketing blurb might quote.

And all that is before you have to get into uprating other parts which the extra power will over-stress.

Personally unless playing about with all that sort of mechanical stuff is where you get your kicks you'd be better off using the money to upgrade to say an ST or similar.
