jakeeehh
was wondering what is the best product to use to clean the chrome that runs under the windows/boot/lower front grill? cleans up nice enough but can hold it's shine.
ifoundmyalloys
Pretty sure the chrome is actually a metal rather than chrome plated plastic. Have you given any metal polish a try? If you have and it's not worked I'm sure I've seen a "chrome time restorer" or the likes while buying detailing stuff. Could give that a try as well? ifoundmyalloys
If you've got a decent independent car accessory place nearby there's a good chance they'll have it. I don't recall Halfords having it but I could be wrong. Or eBay it haha

turbohater
One of my old motorbike handbooks gave the following advice,Use soapy water then polish with a soft cloth. The chrome is only microns thick and will wear away if an abrasive cleaner is used.
