Faulty Sony Radio / Gps Unit? Fiesta St2

Featured Replies

After going back to the main dealer a second time for the same "no GPS" warranty fault, the Sat Nav worked again with a new receiver but I later realised that the (Sony) radio function had disappeared. Nothing happened when I pressed the radio buttons and the volume dials and steering wheel control remained on 0 when turned/pressed. - So it's back at the main dealer again.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Hi Richard

Unfortunately, I'm not here to help but, as I am due to collect my new Titanium X this Wednesday, I've seen this message reported a few times recently and I was just wondering if this 'No GPS' message has been resolved on the latest models?

David, My GPS receiver has failed twice in the last 3 months (car is 9 months old). The first replacement lasted 3 weeks. The last time, though, a new receiver version (apparently) was installed so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I suspect that winter condensation is the cause of the issue in view of the location of the receiver (in a pod at the top of the windscreen behind the rear view mirror).

My radio function was reinstated by a software update.

The only attention my wife's 2 year old Titanium Fiesta has ever needed was also a software update for the Bluetooth to pair with her phone properly.

I'm sure you'll like your new car!
