Broken Door Handel

Featured Replies

The front door handles on my mrk 7 have always been a bit iffy. The passenger one in particular tends to be troublesome but today the driver handle gave up and is very stiff, wont open the door and is not able to return flush without being forcefully hit. So I went to a ford dealer on my way home (not where I got the car but part of the same group) to see if they could look at it and they basically told me that they cannot do it until next Wednesday. I worked in a merc dealership so I realised arguing is not worth it, and it isn't their fault. Anyway my current way of getting in the car is going in through the pax side and opening it from inside, then walking round.

Anyone else had this problem?

Also they mentioned it may take a couple days  to fix (without even looking at it)

Thanks

Matt

Managed to fix it myself. Just took the whole handle and lock system off and re built it. Saved some money
