I can hear it on the inside but I can't be sure if it's coming from the outside or inside?

Is it when your driving or stand still?

When I go over rough road or big bumps

Have a look at the back where you exhaust sits and check above that the heat plate hasn't dropped.

I had to put a standard exhaust on as the St one got a hole in it! Would it be that?

Might sound daft but is your spare wheel in properly?

  • Author

Ye I thought that too but I took it out to see, but still got the noise!

I can't see you changing the exhaust would be an issue, did you check your heat tray hasn't dropped?

How would I check that?

Look under car and above the exhaust is a foil is it resting on the exhaust or is it still attached to large washers with bolts

if it was knocking how would fit the exhaust problem?

Usually some of them rust or come away from the existing bolt what you do is get a bigger washer and pin it back up or if a remember what a did was a got 2 2p coins put it under the large washer already there from before and wedged them in and tightened it so it wouldn't move lol a common thing in mk6
