Whining Sound When Booted From Cold?

Just wondering what the loud whining noise is when booted from cold, I know a car should never be booted from cold as it's really bad for it but there's bit a couple of time where I've been in a rush..

hopefully the cambelt doesn't need replacing to change the pump, might be Aux belt driven.
