Fiesta Mk6 Eml Error Code P1412

Featured Replies

A while ago, the car threw up an error on the dash after I filled it with Diesel.

I drove it about 70 miles before taking it into the garage, so said they couldn't find anything wrong with the part that was causing the error code, but it was to do with emissions which isn't serious until the MOT.

However yesterday, the dash threw up another code - P1412 $07E8, which after a little investigation translates to the ERG Valve.

Is this something that needs to be addressed sooner rather than later, or can I clear the code and just let the garage know when the MOT is due (July)?

Fiesta MK6 - Diesel - 98,000 miles.

Thanks

The E.G.R.V. may be stuck / clogged up - remove & inspect as clearing codes won't cure the root cause.

Thanks.

I just wanted to know if it was an emergency or not :)
