Possible Problem With Electric Wing Mirrors

Have purchased a 6 month old Zetec but not certain if I have a problem with wing mirrors,have loads of adjustment with the passenger control but not really enough with the drivers side.

Is this normal or should I get it looked at as at the moment I have to sit way foreword and slightly off centre to feel comfortable with the drivers mirror view ?

    Each should have loads of play in them...might be a stuck/stiff mechanism. Can you manually move the mirror (carefully)?

    Managed to improve things a bit by moving the glass in the holder,still not certain it adjusts as far as near side does but will see how it goes for a while before a visit to the local service.

    Thanks for advice given anyway.
