andywil13
Is it possible to have this option retro fitted please? If not Ford, does anyone know of any after market option please? Jamie Did you find an answer to this? I have just bought a 2009 fiesta and looking to retro fit this aswell. I dont think this was even an option on the 2009 model, but i dont know if the boot design has changed with the facelift model. If the boot is exactly the same, I am hoping i can buy the parts and install myself Thanks
MarksST
This was a £75 option so I would think it would be a lot more to retrofit but, it would be possible. Aswell as the floorboard you need; These hinge covers that support the rear end and alow it to hinge upwards The loading lip needs changing as it has these supports for the front edge of the floor. These catches hold the floor up when you hinge it upwards, useful but you may not find they are worth it, if you can get them seperately to the parcel shelf bracket, then it should just need a hole cutting. The wheel arch carpets are slightly different and have these dividers fitted to stop thing going under the floo and to act as cubbies, again probably not needed but would just need 2 slots cutting in the carpet for them to slot into. Thanks for that info - really useful - do you know if this will work on a 2009 fiesta though? I appreciate this will cost more than having done at the factory - but happy to cut corners on things like the retaining clips. Will prob just go for -adjustable floor -rear mounts -front lip Then if that works maybe do the optional bits depending on cost. big question is around the 2009 model side of things. Any idea on part numbers? I use partsbase.org for getting this info for my Audi - but as this is the first time we have a Ford in the family I haven’t found the equivalent parts database yet. Might have to test out how helpful the local Ford parts department is! Thanks
MarksST
Can't see a reason why it wouldn't work. Think the ford parts system is ecat, some users on here have access to it. Ford parts should be able to find the parts easy enough.
andywil13
going to pop down to the dealer tomorrow and ask them/have a look. Whist comparing photos the boots look exactly the same, boot liners on eBay seem to either be for 2008-2012 or 2012 onwards - leading me to think perhaps there is something differnet that will throw a spanner in the works. Thanks
BHeart
When I was ordering my present TitX back in January, I wanted the adjustable floor and my dealer said that instead of ordering one for my new Fiesta, they could remove it from my previous a Fiesta and install it in my new car when it arrived at the dealer. I ended up leaving it in my old car and just added the option to my new car so, I think it's definitely possible and you just need to be able to buy all of the required parts. I can't really see that the boot area/floor pan in a 2009 Fiesta would be any different than it is in a 2015 model. Hi MarkST - with the clips at the back - how do they attach? do they clip on/off easily? attached with screws? Called ford today and the retrofit "kit" was like £400 but the back brackets are like £11 each just wondeirng if there is more too this than meets the eye. MarksST
Just taken the plastic cover off ( 1 screw) the hinge looks like it might be a completely different part to the standard hinge.
HarryNLD
The hinge on the picture above is indeed different (#3 - picture 1). andywil13
Thanks all for your help So far so good :) I have been ordering the parts a bit at a time in case something doesn't fit and I don't waste too much money. These are the parts I have ordered so far and fitted: hinge right 1785935 £13.67 hinge left 1785936 £13.67 cover right 1805755 £11.05 cover left 1805756 £11.05 bolt x2 4364422 £4.58 (total not per bolt) back ledge 1822310 £23.10 I have just ordered the floor which is part number 1815967 costing a massive £91.70 so really hope this fits as its sort of the final part HarryNLD mentioned some other part numbers which are sort of optional I am hoping as with the bits I have ordered will give me basic functionality, and I may well add some other bits over time. Will post again when the floor gets fitted so fingers crossed. so far its cost me £168 which is just above my budget of £150 3
