Sorry if this is in the wrong place Admin new
to the forum and desperate.

I am in the middle of replacing my heater

matrix as it was leaking like hell. i need to take the steering wheel off in
order to remove the dash which is all disconnected. I have been told to forget
removing it to cut the dash under the steering wheel. which lets face it is not
an option.

All the tutorials i have seen and read say
undo the 2 screws at the back of the wheel in order to release the airbag
cover/horn but mine does not have 2 screws it has like studs.

Please advise as we live in the middle of

nowhere and we really need this back on the road.

Many thanks

Size 8mm or 6mm can't remember which size it is,undo and whale....be careful of airbag though, any probs and I will take a photo of page in book concerning steering wheel removal......the screws are a pain but I found by pushing on the middle of the steering wheel it stopped the "studs" spinning

Try the 6mm or the 8mm approach first... then get back to me... if that doesn't work....

Still having difficulties i am thinking of buying a new steering wheel center and airbag unit and cutting the front off.

And where's the airbag again... oh yeah it's at the front of the steering wheel!! Probably easier to cut dash than doing that bud

5.5mm socket, or just cant you unplug connectors for steering column and remove column, and steering wheel complete.
