ashley79 Posted March 27, 2015 Share Posted March 27, 2015 Over the last week or so the alarm on my 2010 Ford Focus 1.6tdci keeps randomly going off.. I would be happy if the alarm could be removed but have been informed by ford that is goes through the ecu so can not be removed from the car.. I can't seem to find any problems anywhere.. Has anybody else had the same problem and found a fix for there problem I could try... iantt Posted March 27, 2015 Share Posted March 27, 2015 Need a code reader that reads bcmii codes , the alarm triggers are stored in the bcmii ,unusual for alarm to play up on your age of car, you sure the tailgate is not unlocking its self. TomsFocus Posted March 28, 2015 Share Posted March 28, 2015 Sounds like Ford just wanted to blame the one thing that's not theirs... The stereo does come on and go off with the ignition yes? Micro Posted March 28, 2015 Share Posted March 28, 2015 My focus will lock with the bonnet/boot open, and not set the alarm off if they're shut/reopened whilst it's still locked.
