I have one of those. Frankly a waste of time, it's output is so small and used inside the car, you have the problem of lower light input, and not able to position it to get full face onto the sun. 1.5 watt is it's maximum output, the actual output is likely to be less than 1 watt unless it's a bright sunny day and always facing the sun.

probably best to get a power magic pro or similar to cut the power if the voltage drops. if you come back one day and the camera is switched off there will still be enough power in the battery to start the car and you will know to plug the charger in when you get home.

I uesd a jumpstart which I bought in euro car parts and permanently plug it in into the 12v socket and it works.I just put the jump start at the back of passengers seat

got one fitted already but just concerned that it is still taking to much power and making the battery very low...

hi can you tell me more ?

I used to have the same problem since I put a dash cam on my zetec s. I bought jump start in euro car parts which has a capacity to start a 1.6 engine and permanently plug it in into 12v auxiliary socket and put the jump start at the back of passenger seat.no one used the back seat anyway and it seemed to solve the problem.i charge it overnight before putting it in the car
