For power you should run it straight from the battery. This will reduce the possibility of noise/interferance. It will also ensure that your using big enough power cable throughout

For a signal for the sub you could just take it from the back of the radio whilst you're there. If it doesn't have a blue signal wire then Just use the ignition switched

How much power does the amp draw?...

Personally I'd go straight from the battery for peace of mind. As the "battery" feed is asking come straight from the fuse box but it Will want a permanant live too. So you could save a little time testing fuses and go straight from the battery. Also, you never know what size cable is in between the battery and the fuse you choose.. draw too much power and the loom needs a repair.. just the way I'd do it! :)

Let us know how it sounds too! Ice never used an active sub.. my whole ice system is powered on seperate amps

so as said before the power one (blue wire) going to fuse 13 (ignition a think) is this the remote wire ?

what fuse to use for the main power wire (piggy back) thats going to on all the time? the wire with 10amp fuse what would best to put this?

could someone confirm these thanks

and still looking for wiring of the plug that goes into the back of the head unit for the 4 wires front left and front right speakers

  • Author

right found about the wires.............
Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): White
Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): White/Brown
Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): White/Violet
Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): White/Orange

Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): White/Green
Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Brown/Yellow
Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Brown/White
Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Brown/Blue

now the other question and thats me fully confident

yeah mate make it neater but what im doing is snipping the wire then adding 2 bullet connectors and just connecting it to the subwoofer that way then when done i can remove the subwoofer (when selling car) and just plug the snipped wires together again and hey presto like a wasnt there :D

Big help mate cheers

Wow, I feel like I've missed out on a lot here today! I'll have a more thorough read tomorrow morning; I hope everything is going well!

Morning mate yeah found out quite a but only thing now is looking for a constant feed from fuse box? That's only thing left to find out then ready to go :D.

Just waiting on wires through the post

Ummm, what about one of the 12V feeds? I think there is also a spare one of those that isn't in use, from memory. They provide power when the car isn't on, right? And blue remote wire to ignition to tell it to be on or off all makes sense to me :)

How does the subwoofer fit under the seat by the way, is it a nice fit?

Do you know where that is?

Yeah that's right and not checked yet but looks perfect and I'm still waiting on wires. Lol

Erm, not without having a look at the diagram again, but if you look at the diagram on the back of the glovebox, I believe there is a second 12V fuse that is actually not used. Or you could use the one that is already in use, I suppose!
