tomo425
Has anyone replaced the clutch from a mondeo (dual mass) with that of a transits' single mass clutch? #theflywheelwilllasttwoclutches
iantt
Lad I work with did with poor results, clutch didnt last long, but cant see a single mass having effect on clutch wear/ slip. He put another clutch in and went back to daul mass good enough for transit abuse so should be ok .
tazzman600
What's the latest with your clutch tomo? Only just read this post. From what I read a few years back on the Rover 75/ZT forum it's totally NOT recommended. Sommat to do with upsetting the balance of the crankshaft. A number of owners who did go from dual mass to single mass clutch with catastrophic results. Snapped cranks was one failure.
