Bulbs

Hi all, just after some advice.

I have a completely stock 14 plate zetec fiesta. I was thinking of changing the headlight bulbs to the blue tinted ones. Anybody got any suggestions about a good set, must be road legal!

Also I was wondering if I do change them will I lose the day running light capabilities I already have with the stock bulbs?

Cheers.

Hi thanks for the link!

I'm pretty new to all the mod's as its my first car so I am just browsing atm.

My day running lights aren't LED's they are the other type which I think comes from the main headlight bulb. Will changing the bulbs stop the day running lights from working?

I don't know how the non-LED running lights work, but there are a few good road legal bulbs you can get. Osram Nightbreakers for the brightest light, or Cool Blues for a whiter light. Philips WhiteVision are also a decent upgrade and still road legal.

I'd like to keep my day running lights if possible. Are the Philips ones the only Road legal of them three?

Your DRL bulbs are also your full beam (H15 bulb)

There is very little option to change that bulb at the moment.

Cheers Willy, I didn't think you could change them only the colour.

Sorry I was a bit unclear there, all three of those bulbs are road legal. I upgraded to the Cool Blues at first but found that they were still a bit more yellow than my DRLs, so upgraded again to Philips CrystalVisions which are whiter but not road legal. However I can't see them ever failing an MOT considering people can get through MOTs with HIDs on their cars.
