Alarm Goes Off When I Lock The Doors Via Remote

Featured Replies

Hello,

everything worked fine since 2-3 months ago when locking the doors with the more control started triggering the alarm off. I can now lock and unlock only via the key. One guy told me it could be because the car detects an open door/trunk but it's not the case since it acts in a completely different way if it detects an open door.

It's every single time when the lock key on the remote is pressed. The car locks as it should, then 5-6 seconds later the alarm goes off and I have to press the unlock key to stop it.

I decided to ask for possible solutions before I finally head out to a place where they could fix it for me.

Thanks!

If it's a 94 model the battery could be low in the remote and not doing the job properly or the internal sensors are corroded.
