Help With Hids Please

Featured Replies

Hi all sorry if this post should get tagged somewhere else but im just wondering if this is right or not, my mate has told me not to go for the 55w conversion because the heat output will damage or melt the plastic lens. shall I just go with the 35w kit or.....? thanks.

I would recommend getting a 35W kit as they produce less heat and won't cause power issues because the standard bulbs are 35W. I haven't heard of any damage being caused to the headlamps by 55W or 35W kits from anyone on here but there's always that risk.

I can recommend 35W HIDs, they produce much more light and are less yellow than even the best halogen bulbs.

utter tosh m8 :D :D

check the temp of your plastic lens with your halogens after 10 mins of driving then fit your HID then tell us which is cooler ??

i know the answer....

my last 2 cars both has 55w HID and both had plastic lens ..... no issues.
