Possibly Abs Module?? 2010 Fiesta

Featured Replies

So I'm driving down the road about 30mph and my power steering stopped and the.. ABS, engine management, stability control and power steering lights came on any ideas!?

Checked your fusebox? Relays? Checked for any leaks? Brake fluid level? PAS fluid level? Abs sensors?

Check the battery voltage with engine running,

Iv had it hooked up to a diagnostic and it came up saying it couldn't connect to abs module .. Iv checked all the fuses relays and brake fluid levels all okay ( I have a really soft brake pedal)

Either you have loss of battery feed to module, or high speed can bus wiring fault or abs module had its day

If I was to change the abs module is it a straight swap or is it more technical?

It will need programming/ configuring to vehicle .

My MK 7 58 plate Eco fiesta with 48k on clock did a similar thing .

Nearly every light lit up on the dashboard .

Found it to be the EMU unit. I managed to get a matching one off a Spares dealer off EBAY . when it was fitted we found it had to be reprogrammed. A Diagnostic bloke couldn't do it on the car. My mechanic sent both the original knackered EMU unit and the new bought one and was sent to a Specialist in Bristol who made a good unit from both.

Car seems to be ok except there is a problem which now shows ABS anti skid light on dash and slows the car down to about 10mph when going around some tight Left hand bend.

So needs a little bit of looking at again.
