Featured Replies

When I lock my 2008 fiesta zetec blue and the wing mirrors fold in they start clicking away or ratcheting as if they are trying to go beyond the fully closed position, can anyone tell me whats happening or how to fix this please.

I have the exact same issue with both of mine. Also have a 2008 old shape model.

There was a YouTube video I saw ages ago about how to fix the issue.

However the only other alternative I know is to buy replacement wing mirrors.

i had this problem on passenger side on mk6.5 fiesta. i just unplugged the connector so it did not fold in. My worry was that the cogs etc  would break and leave it stuck in. so i would prefer it just to stay out.  unplugging it also meant no adjustment or heat. This was some years ago, I did try to find out at that time which colour wire did the motor power but could not find it out. I would have just cut the motor wire if i had found out which. Perhaps someone knows which wire as they have been around longer now and more people would have had this problem
