Hi mondeo 2.2 2006

A bad knocking from front, getting worse thought it was suspension tops replaced those

Bottom ball joint seems ok

Knocking is immediate on take off forward or reverse

And seems to knock continually on driving, obviously worse on rougher terrain

Is it the drive shaft

Are they easy to change myself

Need help please

Dave

Very difficult to diagnose knocks without hearing them, but if it is worst on rough terrain, i would guess at anti roll bar bushes.

Appreciate it is difficult, but it knocks as soon as you are moving

As soon as the wheels turn

I have had the car up on jacks can't find anything wrong except one shock absorber is covered in oil

Good fun changing front springs on the Mondeo, without dropping the subframe at one side they are too big to fit out the gap without compressing them slightly
