It's about 220 miles for me so not out of the question.

Depends on my duty roster and wifey.

£26,000 in total with £500 free fuel, 3 years service, free tinting and door protectors.

£2,500 trade in on the old guy off that as well.

Well chuffed indeed.

I'm used to the Recaros in my work car, bit of a squeeze with a patrol vest on but not too bad.

The MK2 is being chopped in so I'm stripping out what I can first.

Pity I won't have time to swap my carbon trim out (no replacement parts available at such short notice) or I would have made them available here for someone looking to replicate my console project.

There will be a couple of items coming soon though (ambient courtesy light /usb music box / led tail lights / alloy aircon knobs etc).

Started planning any mods for the new toy? Or just going to enjoy it for now?

(PS - might well be tempted by your knobs - the AC ones lol)

Paying cash :)

I'm a good haggler ;)

Only mods will be smoked mirror indicator lenses and de-tango the others. (For now).

97k and good apart from keying down one side and a small dent on the other side where some bellpiece fell off a bicycle against it.

If you'll be saying goodbye to the mods on the Mk2, I might be interested in one or two of them, feel free to PM me and let me know what you have.

My salesman reckons that since the facelift mk3 ST came out that they haven't sold a single one in stealth at all.

My dealers has a diesel demonstrator in stealth and it just looks flat even in bright sunlight.

If they had made it a metallic grey then it would look far better.

The idea of having shiny paintwork is to show off and accentuate the styling and curves but imho Stealth misses the mark by a long chalk.

Stealth is a grim non colour i.m.o.

The magnetic paint on my car would have been a much better option than stealth on the ST imo.

Just been on to my current insurance company (CIS) who I've stayed with for 4 years and they declined to give me a transfer of policy for my ST or even give me a quote for a new policy so they are cancelling my current cover as of midnight Friday with a refund for the remaining 2 months of cover.

Went on-line via GoCompare and all set up in 10 minutes with Esure for £350 plus £200 excess - bear in mind this is for a 26 grand, insurance group 35 vehicle (includes windscreen/legal/courtesy/misfuel/keys/audio/personal injury/recovery).

It bugs me that a company I have been loyal to for so long just turns around saying "we don't cover brand new cars" WTF?

Their loss and Esures gain :p

Hit up smudge, might be able to get a straight swap for carbon parts :)

I could be interested if I actually had a couple pennies to rub together...

Unfortunately the carbon parts are staying in :(

Not enough time to source replacement parts.

If anyone local to me is near the Saltash car auctions next week I'm pretty sure the old boy will be up for sale at about £50 ;)

Buy the car, swag the carbon trim and ditch the rest :p

Can do a swap for my silvery bit if you want to feel better
