Just a quick question, Does the MR165 affect warranty? I don't really want to get it done before my warranty is up as I fear i'll blow the turbo with the extra power... <_<

Cheers!

Hi all,

Thinking of upgrading to the MR165, are there any cons apart from the irreversible map?

Are there any MPG gains to be had if you drive sensibly? Does it feel a lot faster?

Cheers

Anyone had a tear up against a ST yet with the upgrade done?

If so does it actually keep up?

Does the kit also stop the 5th gear 4k limiter?

Cheers

Ordered the 165 on Saturday during the 20% deal, is it simple to fit the intercooler?,

It's possible without removing the bumper but is a pain.

You'll be fine. Don't rush it and wear gloves.

The jobs only requires basic tools and takes about an hour for the intercooler.

Will adding the Milltek (sports cat) turbo back exhaust cause any issues with this map? do I need to speak to mountune ? and will it push the 170bhp mark.

Reviews state a '10-12bhp gain' and require a stage 2 remap.

As the kit doesn't use any parts of the exhaust, I would think the map wouldn't have been calibrated to use it, I know sports at aren't meant to put up the engine light but you never know.

They may have an exhaust in development, if so they would have an update via mtune for it.

Thx Mark, I've emailed mountune to see if it will effect it.

Really want to stick a full system on the ecobeast, as my current ones rusting away.

Don't install any kind of exhaust if you are going to get the mr165...The exhaust will NOT work with this kit, because it is not calibrated to do so!

I really really want to install this kit on my fiesta as well, too bad it is out of stock :( . I think I will buy it piece by piece so it will be easier to cope with, financially. 165, give or take, bhp on a 1.0 without an exhaust is really something!

About the mr165 vs stock ST. Don't even try it guys :P. First of all don't consider the ST as a 182hp car, because it isn't. It's 197 and it is confirmed, so the outcome of this race will be a nightmare for the poor 1.0 :P

Yeah guys your right, spoke to Mountune this morning and the guy confirms it 's not set for a sports cat and will cause issues. Asking if it will ever be set up, he stated there working on the Mustang parts and may come back to the 1.0 in the future...

As for fitting a back box he stated no issues.

Well at least I can have a part Milltek system.
