Program New Ignition Key?

Featured Replies

So.. I lost my keys, and Im using my sparekey now. It doesnt have the remote buttons for the door locks, and I need to have two set of keys.

I asked the Ford dealer, they wanted £450 for a new key. Thats robbery imo. I have IDS, and i have been looking at keys on ebay.

Does anyone know how to program new keys into the immobilizer, and how to program the remote ?

Using IDS you can programme both the immobiliser chip and central locking settings.

The new key needs to be in the ignition (or on the indicated key fob panel for keyfree cars) to do this.

An autolocksmith will be a lot cheaper than the dealer.

If you have trouble finding one, let me know.
