mustang86
I'm looking at buying some wind deflectors for the focus. Never fitted any before and don't know anyone that has.. Are they easy to fit? Even for a novice like me? 馃槆
CookieM
Yeah very easy to fit. open window, slide in at the front and bend slightly to get it in at the back. Then close the window making sure it stays in place and then leave it closed for 24 hours to bed in. I'd go for the climair ones but that's just because I've always had them and never had a problem. Others will recommend heko.
MONDEO TXS 2.2
Childs play to fit - Team Heko i.m.o.
simon2710
I highly recommend Team Heko ones as others have said. I didn't use the clips if I remember correctly that you get with them. Really simple to fit. Pull windows down, peel off 3M backing paper and push them into slot at the top of where the window closes and close the window completely to help bond for 24hrs. Only difficult bit is tucking it in where the wing mirror is. I slightly cracked mine but luckily where you tuck it in covers this.

Dee_82
Curious, an possibly really stupid so take it easy on me, what is the benefit of fitting these? is it just for windows down, driving slow, fast, is there any benefit for windows up, genuinely I haven't a clue, never had them before. the wee product description seems to suggest they are suited to smokers....
Stoney871
Good for smokers but also help to keep a car ventilated even in heavy rain (reduces misting), reduces water running off the roof onto the inner door sills and complement the shape of the car.

Good for smokers but also help to keep a car ventilated even in heavy rain (reduces misting), reduces water running off the roof onto the inner door sills and complement the shape of the car. I myself have Team Heko and i think they are great value and quality against the likes of climair which are fairly expensive. I got these because I thought they look well on the focus. Very easy to fit and also like stoney says have a few benefits like helping to ventilate the car in heavy rain and even on a sunny hot day you can park your car and leave the windows open a little but from the outside they still look closed ;)
Wino
Good for smokers but also help to keep a car ventilated even in heavy rain (reduces misting) Interesting point, Twice i've been out in the rain and the drivers side front window and part of the windscreen (middle) seems to like to go misty unless I switch the Aircon on. The other two Focus I had were fine by leaving the controls in a mid ship state but doesn't seem to work quite the same in the new one :(
theredfox
why would you need to inform your insurance after all its just wind deflectors
WES180
why would you need to inform your insurance after all its just wind deflectors Because they love the excuse of non declaration to get out of paying up Paul!
Dee_82
From their own guide lines, you can only be refused if you deliberately misled them in which case your policy would be void, or if you knowingly but unintentionally misled them and as a result it would make a "significant" difference to the premium OR would result in a policy they wouldn't have otherwise approved. Deliberately lying is a no no if they can prove you did it! To refuse they have to prove you intentionally or knowingly but unintentionally misled them (and if so is it a significant change to premium), is it reasonable for you to know something etc. Id still tell them but only because if I had a crash, they wouldn't have to pay out for any modifications id made, considering the amount of time and effort we put in to installing them in the first place it seems a little daft not to :) Ultimately, not telling them though could create a huge pain in the !Removed! for you, even if your in the right, it might take time for them to admit it so telling them is a no brainer, esp when most of this stuff wont cost you any more on premiums. So aye, best tell them :)

Connoreyres1999
I have just install my team heko wind deflectors to my mk4 focus and when I put the window up the safety 聽 Mechanism Kicks in at the very top any suggestions聽
Stoney871
Pull the deflectors away from the glass as you raise the windows and leave closed for a day or so so the rubber seals can mould around them.A squirt of silicone spray or WD40 in the channels can help as well.Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
