chrisroberson99
Looks lovely! Happy birthday Escort. :) Looks like a nice T reg 306 is behind it too.......:D
BLACKHAWK145412
Thanks guys! :D And unfortunately Chris that 306 (my brother's) is gone now due to a slight case of quite dangerous structural rust which resulted in the rear seat belt mount breaking off while driving.
chrisroberson99
Oh no! Good old French cars! I am rather partial to a 306. ;)
BLACKHAWK145412
Haha yeah ;) He did, however, replace it with an older 306 which is in much better shape. :)
chrisroberson99
That's excellent news! I'm very fond of them, my mum had a white N reg one that she bought from my aunt & uncle back in 2001. First car I remember! I'm investigating some see if it's still alive somewhere! Anyway the Escort looks great, is it standard? Certainly looks it! BLACKHAWK145412
Yeah it's standard except from the wheels which are from an Orion Ghia I believe, I added the spotlights since I got it too. :)

TomsFocus
Thanks guys! :D And unfortunately Chris that 306 (my brother's) is gone now due to a slight case of quite dangerous structural rust which resulted in the rear seat belt mount breaking off while driving. Very common problem!! The phase 1 and 2 306s only came with a partial liner on the NSR...meaning mud and salt sat up in the arch rotting it away, eventually with dangerous consequences...well done Peugeot... I'm also quite fond of a 306...having owned 15 of them... :D Happy birthday to the Escort as well. ;)

Celticfan
Crikey, this makes me feel old!! My first company car was an Escort. :)
TomsFocus
Slightly off topic and will remove if the OP wants...but yes Chris, I've owned 15 lol. Can only find pics of 13 though, other 2 were just breakers anyway. Should also add I've had about 10 other cars in that as well lol. 1.4 base spec - wanted more gadgets 1.4 Meridian - turned out to be a lemon 1.4 Meridian - Epic car, wanted more power after a year 1.8 Meridian - Cheap, no service history - most reliable car I'd owned lol. Fast and fun, wanted more MPG - moved on to Golfs for a while... Golf blew up (cam/lifters ultimately) so my mate leant me this HDi estate...if I fixed and MOT'd it first Gave red estate back to my mate and bought blue one - used as workhorse ruined it, final nial was rear arch rust! Bought a Vectra for a while... Bought this HDi DTurbo to break for parts Sold the Vectra and bought this for £500 to release funds from the Vec. 1.8 Meridian - too thirsty. Bought this to fix the one below Bought this low mileage HDi (273,000 miles) for better mpg, done loads to it but the mileage meant I could never trust it. Also couldn't get on with the lack of doors lol. Bought this HDi DTurbo with a snapped cambelt, swapped the engine with the one from the crashed one, drove for a while then sold it for the current Focus. Bought this HDi for £150 as a breaker Focus is nice and all...but always wanted a GTi-6 so snapped this up for a good price. Done some work on it and had a bit of fun in it. Then ultimately sold it to release some funds to move on with my life. :)
BLACKHAWK145412
Wow, that's quite a few 306s! :D
chrisroberson99
Thanks for the pics!! Impressive! I do love a 306 haha. I really fancy a red one like the first two, preferably a phase 2. There's a certain steel of wheel I really like that's only available on the the phase 1 and 2. It's amazing to see how many 306s are still on the road, must mean they're quite reliable. Sorry Blackhawk, I'm to blame for taking this off topic! Hope you don't mind.

Goodkat
I don't mind the 306, if I had the money spare I'd have been tempted by the convertible my mate is flogging but not meant to be. Sent via the 'Clacks' GNU STP

Sorry Blackhawk, I'm to blame for taking this off topic! Hope you don't mind. My mate drives a nice red one...with throttle bodies and standalone management! :D I never was a fan of the red though lol, I prefer blue/black cars. Not so much reliable but cheap to fix when they do break lol. There were also loads sold back in the day. I'm probably partly responsible for keeping quite a few on the road, I'm 4th highest post count on the 306 forum. I'm still always on the lookout for cheap local ones to fix up. ;) It's fine haha, I like the 306 too. That's alright then!
chrisroberson99
Good on you! You deserve a medal. :D I just got the reg number from my uncle of our old one, N585 TPE, seems it hasn't been taxed since 2004. :( Must've been written off. :( I just need one of my own now, along with a MK1 and MK1 Focus. ;)
