Ford C Max Led Issues

Hi all,

I have recently installed a couple of LED strips in place of the footwell LEDs on a 2013 C MAX. They were working initially, but now they and they LED lights in the door handle cups have stopped working.

Could this be a CAN bus problem?

Any help much appreciated!

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Its most likely a blown fuse or loose connection rather than i CanBus error,

The cable supplied with led strips can be very brittle and lose connection or short out blowing fuse.

Ive created a guide on fitting front & rear footwell lighting aswell as an illuminated ignition ring light you may like to view

Great, thanks. I assume that the footwell lights are wired in series with the door holder cup lights? The only cause of both of them being out could be a blown fuse (which it isn't) or a broken connection in the circuit?
