12v auxillary power outlet

hi .

i want to fit a 12v auxillary power outlet in the boot to supply a cool box/mobile phone etc .

can i just connect to the existing in car 12v power outlet , or have i got to go to the fuse box ,and if so were do i connect to (51 plate ghia x 2L diesel ) ,

you can certainly just add to the circuit your existing outlet is on, just remeber that you wont be able to plug two high power devices in at the same time - chances of you needing to do this anyway are probably small.

but you could also run a cable straight from the battery terminal via a fuse to the boot if you wanted. probably a 10A fuse for an outlet?
