Sad to see all the work done on this go back! I'm guessing you'll be doing a lot to the ST then?

How did you get on with the spare wheel and the sensor by the way? I've bought a spare ST wheel without the centre cap or sensor, but I can just remove the cap and sensor off one of my other alloys can't I?

Yeah I'm sure the ST will get the same treatment.

As for your wheel you can just swap the bits over without issue. They should all fit.

So, I'm finally joining the ST brigade and placed my order for a spirit blue 5 door ST.

Can't wait to get it and show it off.

I wish they were available in Thailand. Apparently Malaysia have them for about GBP27k+ 😱.

Hopefully Thailand will get them with the Mk8 when they build the US bound cars.

They are now but from the Mk 8  the Ford Mexico line will switch to Focus only and US spec Fiestas will be made in Thailand, along with the ones for Aussie and the rest of Asia/Pacific (as at current reports). Of course they could just crank up the German line to do US Mk8 STs there 😞 but I'm hoping it's Thailand

Really like the mountune gaiter, what mods did you need to do to get it to fit?

I thought the current ST-Line looked good, 2 extra doors and the full ST treatment, it couldn't get much better, Enjoy it Willy!

Mine came without the gear knob so it was a case of putting the 5 speed on instead. it's only held on by a plastic clip.

Willy did you have to make any ABS/ECM changes? Was there a noticeable increase in front brake bias (ABS locking up the wheels earlier than the unmodded version)? Trying to work out if it's a worthwhile mod for me. Thanks.

No other changes. Just bolted the calipers on and drove.

Not had the ABS activate what so ever under heavy braking but I don't drive like a mad man much  ;)

Are they different from the mist jets? If so, what's the benefit?

Thanks

Definitely doing another ST thread.

Mist / fan jets are the same thing. They spray a fine mist across the screen. personally much better than the normal washer jets

Was never a fan of the mist washer jets - Purchased them professionally painted from PaintModz Blackpool (Highly recommended) but found they sprayed way too much over the roof and sides of my car. Ended up reverting to the originals but in piano black again from PaintModz. Found it most annoying when I'd just ritually cleaned it only to be left with water marks all over.

Agreed Babbot, they do leave a bit of a mess but I find its only an issue on the bonnet.

My initial shopping list is almost complete with only the map to install. Can't wait to get modding.

The latest purchase thanks to our friends on Facebook.
