Cleaner
what tyres do you have fitted to your focus,,,,I had Continental super contacts on my focus but although been what I thought a good tyre they were getting a bit on the low side so decided to change all four. Went in different direction and had a set of Uniroyal rain master 3s fitted,,,,well bugger me I could not believe how good they are and were cheap got a deal on all 4 fitted balanced and old tyres deal with for £206... Just tyres in Huntingdon. They are so quite on the road it is just great the car still goes around corners very well and braking is superb good tread pattern to,,,,would highly recommend them just tyres through out the country have the deal on for a bit longer yet so if you are in the market for new tyres you will not go wrong with these,,,,and at £206 all up for premium tyres you can not go wrong. Randoms
I currently have Continental continue contact 2's on the rear & Continental premium contact 5's on the front (not sure why there different as bought car from dealers & it only had 7k on clock). Anyhow the fronts are down to 3mm & I need a new pair before the winter kicks in, I've been reading up on the new Michelin Crossclimate's & was certain these were the tyres for me. Then yesterday I found out that Nokian have just realised there equivalent of all season tyres called "weatherproof". Don't suppose anyone has any info on these of is running a set? I've had Nokian tyres before and couldn't fault them, I'm guessing the fin's know what's required from a all season tyre!
WES180
Im still on Michelin Pilot Sport 3's on the Focus. My old Cmax wore out a pair of Continental Sport Contact 5's in under 5000 miles 1yr old. Im looking at the Uniroyal Rain Sport 3's for my wifes Punto, £65 a corner from Camskill in 205/45/17.
Randoms
Maybe the contact 5's are just a softer compound/wear quick? I must admit they grip really well though, unfortunately the Crossclimate's or the weatherproof are not available just yet on camskill 😕. WES180
They must have been Playdoh soft to wear out that quick! They did handle well to be fair so that is the price you pay really. Mk1&2 Cmax's are known for eating front tyres though, dont know about mk3's.
Goodkat
Oh God now you are asking... Austones I the front, I think Falkens on the rear... They were on the car when I bought it, fronts were new and rears have plenty of life in them so I will change them when they wear out. The Austones are good and hard wearing, but a bit slippy in the wet. I have adjusted my driving style accordingly to compensate! theredfox
running nokian currently on c-max choose them over Goodyear/Dunlop after reading plenty of tyre reviews on line so far cant fault them. going to swap them front /rear to minimize wear
Randoms
Just got a reply back from Nokian uk dealer who quoted me £90 a tyre for the "weatherproofs" & that's collection price. I can get the weatherproofs online delivered for £87 tyre. Michelin crossclimate are £92 at Costco but then you get £10 voucher if you by 2 so guess they work out the same price. Cleaner
Hi peeps thought I would just update the Uniroyals rain master 3s,, and happy to say after a 1000 miles now,,,,,I know in these times that s not a lot of miles,,,,,but the tyres are ding very well. No signs of wear that s noticeable still fantastically quiet,,,best of all they really are great in the wet,,,,and must say not bad of road, given the fact the little focus is front wheel drive I had to take the focus up to the farm and it went down the farm track great never got stuck once and some of the ruts are getting on for about 6-8" deep. Ok had to put t over the pit and wash the underside but I was pleasantly suppressed how well it did what I normally do n the Defender,,so with that in mind I would now recommend these tyres.
