Hi sorry if this is posted in incorrect place new to site

Recently my fordfocus 06 plate 1.6 petrol has been having troible starting due what i thought was battery yesterday i wouldnt start so i push started and away i went once back home it would not start again would not push start and would not jump start wile we atempted to push start starter motor was clicking but would not turnt over then it stoped clicking and dosnt not any more also showing system error fault on dash

I have replaced battery nothing changed Have i now broken my started motor and need this replacing ?

Any help much apricated

Faulty starter motor solenoid or wiring connection issue by the sound of it

Is your replacement battery the correct one and fully charged?

Also try putting it in gear and stick your foot out of the door and just rock the car forward and back a few times to rotate the starter. When youve done that then try starting it with the key. This is just to see if you have a flat spot on the starter.

Thx guys will try once home and yes it is correct battery fully charged I

Stupidly forgot to merion in post it is showing system engine fault on milage screen

That does make a difference then. Have you got access to a fault code reader? That is your best bet now to see what fault code is showing. They are readily available for under £20 on eBay if you dont have one.
