it probs is 4 for a reason so that it will have enough suds and not drag anything along the paint.

i never use all the water in my buckets.

remember you dont need to fill your rinse bucket up to much as it will get higher and higher once you keep rinsing.

rinse bucket what for my wash MIT in between waash

also i was having a think about getting in contact with a couple of companies about sorting a group buy for the new dodo juice wax 'purple haze pro'

contains a few new ingredients and will go with any colour car. It is a soft wax that can be used on its own but also over the top of hard waxes.

I can also have a word about any other products that people would be interested in as a group buy.

:D

This is a great idea. I have to admit I want to try Purple Haze - is it not colour charged Greeny? It's very dark for white...

super resin polish doesnt protect your car.

infact it takes all the protection off the car

you need to get some wax or sealent to go over the top, i would always recommend wax though.

If you like your autoglym products then go for AG HD wax or as both me and dan go for any of the dodo juice hard wax range.

for a white colours car look for either diamond white or banana armour

Hard Candy also looks great on white.

I have only used AG High Def on the Mk7 to date - it's fantastic. The Dodo waxes have been being used on the other cars in the house.

Hello there I'm Davis Love ;)

I'm new here as you can see I have no posts :)

I'm planning to get a Fiesta Mk5 for my first car, Just love 'em

I have been seduced into Ford by a friend of mine, who owns a Toyota Corolla GTi-16 AE92, very nice car. We spend hours on his car most weekends, it has been fun, but many frustrating moments, we hoisted the engine out with a hired engine crane, so I'm gaining a lot of self experience on the way  Thus giving me a little head-start for college.

My favourite Ford model at the moment is Ford Escort RS Cossie

The dodo juice purple haze is awesome :) used it on my pantha black car at the weekend and wow looks amazing, the car now has a purple tint in the sun when looked at from an angle. will try get some pics up but i doubt they will do it any justice at all.

Just used my bilberry wheel cleaner and the red mist for the first time - all good! Greeny - why is red mist vital for the winter?

I really need a bigger drying towel, I have two, one isn't absorbent enough and the other one (the small dodo juice one) is fab but too small. More expense!!!!

just because you want to keep your wax topped up over winter.

specially because of the salt and muddy roads. Red mist keeps the wax in good condition

I'm allergic to Red Mist

Greeny have you ever used Duragloss Aquawax? I've ordered some as a Red Mist replacement after advice on DW.

I'm going to try Purple Haze Pro and Blue Velvet Pro (due out next month) on the white the next time I fully detail. I'm told the colour in the waxes won't negatively affect the car, and may increase my reflections.

Nice work on the discount codes Greeny, 15% from Clean Your Car is excellent, haven't seen that anywhere else.

not unless your planning of having swirl marks in your car

normal lime prime is a very light polish do that will do where as lime prime lite is just a paint cleanser.

BTW for anyone wanting something for trim bits get this stuff

if you have swirl marks your best bet is to get someone to get them out for you unless you have a DA polisher.

If your after a DA polisher most people get the Meguiars or the Kestral.

Lots of people have different opinions on polish and pads but i would firstly try out lime prime and a finishing pad maybe a 3M finishing pad

Have just used my Duragloss Aquawax for the first time as a Red Mist replacement.

First impressions are outstanding - goes on brilliantly and feels much more like a protective product than Red Mist. I always half wondered if I was actually doing anything when applying Red Mist, as it's spray on/wipe off. With this, you do a whole section of the car, then buff off. I can feel the layer that's put down with a quick sweep of the finger. It'll be interesting to see how it cures tonight.

It's half the price of Red Mist as well

Dan wakes up to find his fiesta a nice orange colour, with a sign posted on the bonnet saying, should have sticked with the dodo.

 I think the guys at Dodo will forgive me - I still use just about every other product they make. Being allergic to Red Mist is a good reason to give it up I think.

Greeny - the pro versions of the waxes contain the same solvents as Red Mist I'm told, that rules them out for me :(

I'm going to take the AG High Def off sooner rather than later I think - decisions decisions, Double Wax, Hard Candy and Rainforest Rub or Supernatural topped with Rainforest Rub?

Oh, and I still haven't used my BOS yet either

one question i for got to ask do i have to lime prime every time i wash and wax my car or am i doing some damage to the paint...

I use Lime Prime Lite every time I apply fresh wax - Lime Prime itself isn't really suitable for new paint unless you specifically need correction for swirls or similar.
