Don't worry hook - I've just had a floor drain fitted in the garage - so detailing is going indoors from now on!

Awesome - wish I could get my car in the garage!!

Too many products - save the waxes for the summer and just get a couple of coats of FK1000P on now.

change of subject but how the hell do you get the inside of a wookies fist dry?

Ive used mine once dried the outside ok but the inside is taking forever, 3 days since i used it and it started to smell like someone has pi**ed in it, ive had it on top of the radiator etc

Perhaps turn it inside out. How did the inside get wet? You didn't machine wash it did you? Is it wet just from use in the bucket? I think mine stayed dry inside. Can I put any more questions in this post? What do you think? Can I keep going and going...?

I soon got tired of my wookie and went back to a Megs microfibre.

yes i put the whole thing in the bucket , next time I will try and keep the inside from getting wet, I tried turn it inside out but the neck is to tight and i cant do it. oh well I guess it will just have to sit on the radiator untill it dries out.

Try drying it in the car with the aircon on high and hot ;)

Same problem with sheepskin mitts, a bugger to get dry on the inside.

I've no experience of the Wookiee's Fist  but the best way to get a sheepskin mitt dry is to keep it open with something like a roll of sellotape inside the cuff & hang it up to dry. Still takes days to dry though.

From what i've read he recommends the snow foam and citrus somethingorother from 14d themselves.

I think that's what Dan uses also :)

Hi everyone,

I've decided to splash out on a snow foam lance. Could someone suggest a reasonably priced one and some snow foam solution to go with it?

I thought this was ok... does anyone have any thoughts on it?

I4D Lance

Thanks

From what I've read, go with the autobrite foam lance. ;)

<whispers> that is the autobrite lance, but under I4D's banner...

It's a cracker.

It's also more expensive (but after FOCX discount its £44.35)... it is in stock though :D

Which snow foam do you use Dan?

(I'm gonna buy a foam lance next month *sigh*)

I use two types - both I4D's own. The citrus one is harsh enough to irritate un gloved hands, so I use that only for arches, under the car and wheels. For the paint I use their pH neutral one, very nice it is too.

I have some 3D wax red foam I'm waiting to try also, will report back.

Thanks for the advice, Dan :) I've ordered the I4D lance and the standard I4D snow foam solution (not the citrus one). Just got to wait for it to arrive..... I wanna play with it NOW :P

Dan, which wax would you recommend for vision?

I would go with Blue Velvet, but generally, any of the DoDo waxes would suffice.
