Dales
Well I finish up tomorrow for 2 weeks. Left it a bit late in the year to take my holidays as we were planning on going abroad, didn't exactly know where, but that was the plan, Then the wife burst her ear drum so cant fly. So I don't know where to go now. My mate went to the Isle of Wight about 3 weeks ago and said he had a great time there, Anyone else been to the Isle of Wight that are willing to give their views on what they thought of it. Thinking the further South I go as well, might give me a better chance of the big yellow thing in the sky. Not the moon. The other one, never seen it for long enough. Think they still call it the Sun. Isle of Wight is a bit of a trek though as its about 500 miles from where I am. But thought I would take the ST on holiday too. So should hopefully be a good drive down. If that is where I do go of course as the wife is a bad traveller. So she isn't too sure if its going to be too far. She was thinking of the Lake district. Lake district looks amazing but where in the Lake district do you go. She seems to think because I used to deliver around all these places I should know what these places are like to go on holiday. When the truth of the matter was I wasn't always looking at the scenery. I was looking more for the next opertunity to over take the Sunday driver in front of me that was older than grass. So I was hoping for some views on both Isle of Wight and some possible places around the Lake district. I love the North of Scotland. but it always pisses down when I go up North. In the same hand I think the whole Country is getting rain next week :D

Dales
Surely that was only around the towns etc and not out on the country roads. ?

Dales
Stuff that. Will need to ask my mate if its still a 30mph limit all over, see this is one of the things he wouldn't think of telling me about as he drives like an auld granny. What did you think of it Derek ? Even though you have sort of put me of the idea of going

Dales
Just had a wee look about speed limits on the Island. They seem to be more or less the same as the mainland. Imagine driving all that way and you came across something like that. The oldies I could live with, 30mph speed limit every where, I couldn't lol. Well hopefully it will have changed since you have been. Hopefully other members will have been more recently. See the thing is my mate that went sort of exaggerates things, hence why I thought I would ask opinions on here, Thanks for you views on it anyway Derek, Its appreciated. Randoms
Isle of Wight, lakes & Scottish Highlands - done them all many times & think there all great (had our holiday in the Highlands end of last month). Thing with all UK holidays is weather, if it's nice you'll have great time - if not your f#*ked.
Dales
Been up the North of Scotland loads of times my self Martin. excellent scenery and plenty good roads to give the ST a good blast, all within the legal limits of course. As I said I had delivered to many places around the Lake district, but never really paid too much attention, again though some of the scenery was great. Just not sure where I would go in the Lakes. Been looking online but its not the same as getting some real feedback from other. That was part of the reason Im on asking about both the Isle of Wight and the Lakes. Hoping to get some feedback like you have done. Thanks Martin
