Radio interference 6000CD in a Focus

Hello

Sorry if this has been covered before but i'm a Newbie. B)

I have just got a 05 Focus Zetec. It has a Ford 6000 CD Stereo in it.

My problem is this. When i listen to MW, there is background interference like an old radio would give you (Buzzing, crackling etc).

It gets worse when i am revving the engine or driving along (as i speed up, the noises get louder) !

I have read that this stereo has a signal booster? Is this true and if so, where is it ?

Or could it simply be the aerial (which seems glued on tight) ?

If i need to remove the stereo to sort these annoying noise's, i do have the 4 Removal keys.

By the way, FM is fine.

Any advice would be most welcome.

Thanks Danny.

what ford usually do is remove the radio and give the earths a good clean.

Today i removed the radio with my new keys and all seemed well.

Blew out the aerial lead and socket but no better.

Is there a booster for the signal ?

Could this be the prob ?
