jakeeehh
The screw that holds the cover of my cabin filter housing has had the head chewed up pretty bad and I can't unscrew it to change the cabin filter. Any suggestions on how I can get it off/out?
stef123
Is it a torx type head? Try a flat blade screwdriver in it or if you can get into it, cut a slot in it with a Dremel tool.
SeanW
Try a thick elastic band Lay it over the screw head and apply a firm pressure on it with the screwdriver
Enduser
When I was in the Range shop recently there was one of those video thingies playing advertising a gadget when could be used to remove damaged screws, from the video, of course, there was no damaged screw that it could not remove. Also you could buy a screwdriver and file it down to fit any usable part of the screw. Or you could drill it out.
