This price is great news - it should mean that dpf equipped cars become much less of an issue, as even £170 for a new one every 40,000 miles, for example, is a reasonable consumable item service cost imo

If it takes about 40000 to clog up and get ruined, that's about 4 years + for me, I'll probably never have a problem in that case

That's just an example Stu - nonetheless it's a workable estimate to make worrying about dpf failure a thing of the past

I just spoke to the mechanic I use for about 150 will take it (dpf) off cut it open ect ect....as long as there's one on it'll pass
