im trying to disconnect the door plug where all the wires go through the car to the door to sort out bad speaker wire.i cant seem to undo it .anybody know how its done

    The door connectors can only be disconnected if the doors are removed from the hinges. With the doors installed to the body there is not enough space to disconnect the door connectors.

    the only way is to take the door off ,the connector is too long to pull out with the door on.

    what are you trying to do then ?

    Bad speaker connections on the passenger side front and rear, speakers are OK as is wiring either side of the plugs, think the pins for the speaker connections have been pushed out of the housing and are loose so need to get the buggers apart :(

    door off it is then .its not too bad make sure you sort the problem before putting door back on. i did it about four times

    When you are installing the door how do you line up the electrical plug back correctly. I see that there is numbered slots. Please advise. I'm installing a front passenger door on a 2011 Ford Focus
