Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if any of you's had any idea where i could go.

The car cut out doing approx 30 mph it came up on the dash with engine malfunction.

The fault code related to fuel rail pressure high.

I have changed the fuel pressure sensor on the rail (non genuine), the fuel filter, the injectors and pump have all been off and tested and we have tried a new regulator on the fuel pump.

Now we have no visible faults but still will not start.

I have now spent hundreds of pounds on this car and feel like I've got no further than when it cut out.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Craig

Is there a relief valve on these rails? Vaguely remember a similar issue on a transit years ago where it had blown the relief valve, I believe it was on the rail but may not have been.

They are an absolute bustard to get started once you break the fuel system pressure. Just changing the fuel filter can be a total pain due to refusing to start afterwards

Pre fill the fuel filter with a syringe while installing it.

Plus install a primer bulb

thats what most people do these days

When the fuel filter was fitted we used a pump to fill it.

Im sure the code was p0088 but it has been cleared so i can no longer be sure i cant get any faults up now when cranking it.
