joe bloggs Posted January 23, 2016 Share Posted January 23, 2016 hi once again, finding out new things as each day comes by. is it a common problem that to remove the morning dew on the side windows of my focus (2008) you have to wipe it off? i have noticed that when you lower the windows the rubber at the top of the door does not remove any, whereas on my mondeo it cleared 90% of it is there a way to remedy it? real shame to have a heated front screen and you have to use paper towelling to clear the sides lol Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

williamweb Posted January 23, 2016 Share Posted January 23, 2016 I'm with you Joe,it is annoying.It's possible you have something in your car that's moisture related.Also you can buy dehumidifiers for cars,you could give one of them a try.Good ventilation is the key when driving your car then when you use it again the next day all might be well,just a few thoughts. Lol, Pete, it is a bit of a 1st world problem but annoying when most cars clear by just dropping the windows. I'm sure it's just a design flaw in the Mk2.5, nothing to do with spec lol. What worries me though, is that if the window 'scraper' isnt tight against the window there must be a reasonable amount of water getting inside the doors. There must be a really simple fix for it that Ford missed originally, taller more flexible rubbers or something! artscot79 Posted January 24, 2016 Share Posted January 24, 2016 most car windows do have a curve but the door doesnt the ford however has a curved door and curved glass so the second you start to put it down the seal is no longer making contact i had looked at various ways of doing it but the design makes it impossible no matter what rubbers you look at the curve gets so large that youde need 3 inch thick rubbers even then you wouldnt get the window back up its annoying reversing out the drive as you cant see a thing through the side windows 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
