1996 Escort Ghia 1.6 Estate - no MOT

Hi, my grandson has been using my Escort as a Daily Drive for the past year (my daily drive is a Sierra), but have now acquired a newer car for him. The old Escort will not pass the MOT due next week because the AirBag warning light is permanently on. Has a few other minor niggles but to somebody with the time and space to work on it , it would still be a great daily driver. Tyres are all good, had two new rear wheel bearings in the last few months and new rear exhaust box. Does have some electrical quirks. To find out that it wont pass MOT will cost me £50, I would rather save the money and let the new owner have it for cheap. Car is in Blackheath SE London, will be on SORN by time it is available.

Hello if this helps this escort was registered a nouveau red if you ask for it at any car paint Store they will either have it or mix it for you hope this helps

It's probably faded in 20 years so best to get a paint shop to colour match and mix up some for you.
