Joe costas Posted February 24, 2016 Share Posted February 24, 2016 Hi can anyone help me please. I've recently purchased a 64 plate diesel smax. When i park up after a short journey the fan is still running for about 5 minutes after and it's quite loud almost like car is still running. Doesn't happen all the time. TomsFocus Posted February 24, 2016 Share Posted February 24, 2016 Are you driving hard before you park up? If so it's normal to cool the engine but not usually in February. I'd say it's more likely the car has just done a DPF regeneration and it's either just finished when you get home or you've interrupted it by parking.
