Focus 1.0 EcoBoost or 1.6 EcoBoost.

Hi,

I'm possibly thinking about the 1.0 EcoBoost (125 bhp) engine in my next Focus, but I have some question that need answering about this!

I do mostly A & B roads, country roads, around towns and a little bit of short motorway journeys, so I know the Focus 1.0 EcoBoost will be fine for these journeys. But if I needed to do longer haul journeys on motorways around the UK, will the 1.0 EcoBoost be good enough to do this?

I know the 1.6 EcoBoost will be absolutely fine for long haul motorway journeys, but will it be fine for the other short journeys I mentioned above?

You might think what I have asked above, a bit of a stupid question, but I need to make sure I choose the right engine. 1.0 or 1.6 EcoBoost? I have decided not to go for a diesel, because of the short journeys I do and the low mileage a year I do.

Thank you,

Liam.

I would go for the 1.6 EcoBoost has more torque so will be better on fuel because the engine does not have to work as hard to reach the desired speed (so I've heard)

Their is a topic about this here
