I need engine mount BOLTS for my mk2 focus, where can I get these from ?

Featured Replies

I was told by a garage that there was I think they said 2 bolts missing from the middle engine mount.

I am looking at fitting the bolts the same time as changing gearbox oil as the car will be up in the air, but I need to be able to know where to buy them from, I've tried looking on Ebay UK but could not find them.

Is Ford the only place I can buy them,  oh and how much approx should 2 bolts for an engine mount cost ??

thanks

Ford should be able to supply them for a few quid I'd reckon.

Unless you know the bolt size and thread pitch you don't have many options.

Ford is the best place to buy them,

Without as Ade points outs out, knowing the thread pitch, bolt size and tensile strength/property class too, you have little options

You need to go to Ford for bolts like that, as said unless you know the thread size and tensile strength it would be hard to find a suitable bolt elsewhere.

Thank you

I want to put the bolts on while the car is in the air to do gearbox oil change, I don't know what thread size they are nor strength,  would I need to know this before placing the order at Ford or will they know the exact bolts it needs when I ring them and give my reg to them ?

They will be able to find the right bolt's from their parts system.

do you think it will cost more than £10 for the engine mount bolts ?

I don't see it being more than a fiver for the two bolts tbh.  The other option is looking for a car the same in a scrap yard and getting those.

you could contact fordpartsuk for a price, he will also give you a part number.

What happened to the original bolts??
