TCM location?

Hi guys,

 

Does anyone know where is the TCM located for a ford focus 1.6tdci 2007? Looking to find also the related p/n or a picture how it looks like.

on the 4f27e auto the tcm should be bolted to the bulkhead on the n/s

on the cft23 auto  the tcm is part of the transmission assy

Then this a CFT23, it has 7 speeds plus the reverse. I'm not sure what the so called "speed sensor" is? Is it an external part of the transmission where wirings are? Or this speed sensor is the ABS sensor itself?

depends what speed sensor your refering to? 

theres the input speed sensor, turbine shaft speed sensor, output shaft speed sensor,road speed sensor(abs)

Hi Ian,

Well car is showing 2 messages on the dash. One is ESP system fault and the other is Transmission malfunction.

Found on internet someone had a similar issue showing those two messages and having the same auto transmission CFT23. It turned out to be "one of the wires for the speed sensor was shorting out on the box its self.".

I'm not sure which sensor was referring to?!

No idea, think you need to get a code reader that does pcm and tcm codes, then you might have an idea where to start.

Does the car start and drive ok?

I did check the codes, an extensive description is on this thread

 Car drives fine, shifts fine between P R N D and + - , however when messages do show, it doesn't let me change the speed, have to turn the engine off and move to P and then turn it on again.

Assuming any wire is shorting out on the box...on any of the sensors, how difficult is to reach this area for inspection where wiring harness is on transmission?
