Blacked out head/rear lights

I was thinking of blacking out my front and rear lights!

has anyone already done this and got any advise?

Hahaa, Im not going to go completely blacked out, im aiming for something darkens them so it slightly blends in with the bodywork.

But still want to be able to go out in the dark!

Anything that darkens the reflectors on the rear of your car is likely to cause issues...

The factory darkened lights you can see on some cars are done in such a way as to be road legal and not affect light output - any foreign paint on the inside of your light clusters is likely to reduce light output.

Next time you see a car with darkened lights at night - notice how their reflectors likely don't function well either - and if you don't darken the reflectors too it'll look odd.

Flyeye tints. Black window tinting wrap material.... 

Not sure on legality and issues with it. Not personally got it. But ive seen plenty with it.
