Ipod problem

 Hi all. Slight problem when connecting my Ipod through the car computer through the USB? I connect my Ipod and all works well for about 5 minutes. The message Ipod not initialized will come up and I'm unable to use the steering wheel controls. I then unplug the USB, and reconnect, exactly the same occurs. Any ideas?

Could it be a problem with the ipod?

It may be your cable is too bent, try it with the cable out stretched and reconnect it ensuring it all clicks in. Are you using the Ford Y cable?

Even worse one - My OH connected his iPod to the system and now his iPod won't work - had to go out and buy him a new one (with his credit card of course! LOL)
