Focus mk1 abs problem

Hi i bought a 1999 2.0 petrol focus last week and the abs is kicking in under normal braking and can also hear a grinding noise when going along . There is no abs or traction warning lights lit up to say there is a fault i disconnected both front sensors and it stopped the noise and kickback in the brake pedal i did put the abs and t.c light on. I have had a look at old invoices and it had a new osf hub and abs sensor 5 months ago im unsure what the problem could be
